A weekend to remember

Floating With The Wind

This was a memorable weekend where I met a long time friend and partied like there’s no tomorrow. Chicken Chilli, Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Biryani, Egg Curry, Dal Fry, Mutter Paneer — these are some things we consumed over three sittings. Only the Egg Curry was prepared by my mother.

Having spent a majority of my month in my native town, I was really craving for good food. Restaurants there usually have 2.5–3.0 ratings on Zomato and their cleanliness quotient isn’t good. There are a few good places but they are too expensive. On top of that, the home cooked food there (usually with no onion and garlic) was bland considering it was made for older people. I entered Mumbai with a mission to binge on food because I needed that release.

I also drank some gin, listened to some songs and shared secrets. That takes care of my partying quota for the next 15 days.

I was planning to go for morning and evening walks like before but the coronavirus situation has left my mom unconvinced. The stye that was bothering me has almost healed. I’ll also get my salary tomorrow which will make it an epic day that I am looking forward to.

Until next time,

Keep floating.

In this blog, I try to capture my reactions to the changing currents of my time on this planet. I’ll be honest, I’ll be raw and I’ll try and be entertaining.
